Dam. The Allt a Chaoruinn now has a hydro scheme built above the traditional put in, Speed.

Access is easier than it was, walk over the bridge and up the double track, up to the hydro house, punch in the code, only available to SCA members and off you pop. It takes about 30 minutes for the flow to kick in, (if water is available) and can only run a limited number of hours through the week, but according to the display, we are the only ones to have used the code in recent days
By the time we have finished the walk up the flow is perfect, enough for fun, not too much to to have us swirling round in the tea cups in Ecstasy.
We also managed a few classics during the rest of the week, Orchy, Fassfern, Upper and Lower Roy, Lower Etive and the Allt Mheuran
