48 hours and a couple of rides in Scotland last year.
Knowing I was doing a long Torridon loop the next day I took myself off for a smooshy ride across Skye, done this ride twice before, both times in horrendous conditions, this time tho, the sun shone a glorious day across the Island. Starting at Sligachan and the Collie and MacKenzie statue, alongside the Allt Daraich and the River Sligachan.

Torridon, a big day out, a couple of big ups followed by bigger downs it seems, a classic loop and for me, surely the best downhill descents in the UK, at least as far as I have done. I’d not been riding much and I did suffer after this ride, the legs were pieces the following day from pedalling, pushing, hike a biking and up on the pedals heading down, worth it, o yes.
